Family Needs Assessment
The Family Needs Assessment (FNA) is designed to help families with special or medical needs identify and prioritize their concerns. The FNA is a person-centered, family focused, and strengths-based tool to support the entire family with services and resources that best meet their needs. It’s not just a document, it’s a support system that ensures your family receives consistent support regardless of where the military takes you.
Q-Coded Airmen must complete or update an FNA by 60 days before a PCS, CONUS, or OCONUS. We encourage, but do not require, your family members to attend.
Respite Care
Respite Care is a program designed to provide temporary relief for those who regularly care for family members with disabilities. As a caregiver, it is natural to want to give your all to your loved one, but everyone needs a break. Respite Care offers that much-needed rest by allowing your family member with special needs to be cared for by a qualified provider. Your level of need determines services provided. Contact EFMP-Family Support to apply for Respite Care.
Local Interagency Coordinating Council
A Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) is a community-based advisory group that brings together representatives from families, local service providers, and various community organizations. The primary goal is to enhance and coordinate early intervention services for young children with disabilities and developmental delays, as well as their families.
Ramstein’s LICC is chaired by Education and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) and held quarterly at the Military & Family Readiness Center. Regular attendees include, but are not limited to, EDIS, EFMP-FS and EFMP-M, Developmental and Behavioral Family Readiness Center (DBFRC), local pediatricians, School Liaison Office, and parents. These organizations work together to ensure that families are aware of and have access to necessary supports and services. The LICC is an open forum and encourages anyone who is interested, to attend.
